Set up in January of 2012, Wolverhampton BJJ has been successfully training students of all ability levels in different types of grappling.
Suitable for both males and females, Wolverhampton BJJ specialises in traditional full gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grappling. By wearing a gi students learn how to compete in traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sports competitions. In addition to this, the club runs no gi submission wrestling and strike and grapple training sessions to suit the needs of any students wishing to compete in amateur mixed martial arts (strike and grapple competitions).
Lead instructor Hugh Abercrombie (brown belt) has received his training at Gracie Barra Birmingham under multi world champion black belt Braulio Estima bringing a wealth of knowledge to the club with valuable lineage to arguably the best in the world.
For any students wishing to progress through the belt system, grading will be carried out by Gracie Barra black belt Norbert Nowak who will also be holding regular seminars.
